Full Life Church is committed to protecting your privacy. We aim to ensure that all information you give us is held securely and is only used in a manner you have consented to or would expect. This privacy notice applies to Full Life Church, High Street, Maltby, Rotherham, S66 8LF - the data controller for personal data you disclose to us. We may collect data from you when you interact with Full Life Church online, face to face, by post, over the phone or via SMS text. Examples of personal data include, but are not limited to, your name, address, email address and telephone number, etc. We will only collect data which is relevant to the purpose for which you have given it.
In some circumstances we may use publicly available data to update our records. This will usually be if you are holding office in a church or other public office, where we use websites to ensure our records are accurate.
How we use your data
Full Life Church may use your data for the following purposes:
• To administer membership records
• To manage employees and volunteers
• For administration purposes if you are connected to any of the various church ministries,
e.g. Sunbeams Pre-school, children and youth programmes, Foodbank, etc.
• To process financial gifts including collecting Gift Aid, where appropriate
• To inform you of news, events, activities and services at Full Life Church
• To fundraise and promote the interests of the church
How will we contact you?
We may contact you via post, email, telephone or SMS text. However, we will only contact you by the method you have told us you wish to receive communications by. You can amend your contact preferences at any time or unsubscribe from further communications, unless there is a legal reason why we are unable to do so. Storing and sharing your data
Full life Church stores your data on a password protected computer with appropriate encryption to keep your data secure. We may also store your data on a secure database provided by iKnow Church, a trading name of Edit Websites Ltd, Solihull, UK. As such your data does not leave the European Economic Area (EEA). If, for any reason we are required to move your data outside the EEA, we will ensure that adequate levels of data protection are in place.
Your data will not be processed outside of Full Life Church and will not be disclosed to any third parties, except to trusted partners with whom we work, e.g. Assemblies of God who process Gift Aid claims on our behalf and HMRC who pay those Gift Aid claims. We only enter into relationships with third parties who have appropriate data protection policies. All data held by third parties is destroyed when it is no longer needed.
We will not disclose your data to any other third parties unless we have your explicit consent to do so. At no time will your data be passed to a third party for marketing purposes.
How long will we hold your personal data?
Your personal data will be stored during the period of our active relationship. Once we no longer require your data we will take all reasonable steps to destroy it or erase it from our systems. However, there may be statutory reasons beyond our control for storing data, e.g. HMRC Gift aid regulations. There may be other reasonable reasons for storing data beyond our active relationship, e.g. to verify safeguarding procedures, other matters in the public interest, etc.
Your rights
Unless subject to an exemption under GDPR, you have the following rights, which can be exercised at any time:
• The right to be informed about how we use your data
• The right to request a copy of your personal data Full life Church holds about you
• Th right to request that Full Life Church corrects any personal data if it is found to be inaccurate or out of date
• The right to request that your data is erased where it is no longer necessary for Full Life Church to retain that data
• The right to restrict the processing of your data
• The right to object to direct marketing and processing of your data based upon
legitimate interests or the performance of a task in the public interest/exercise of official authority, or the processing of data for scientific/historical research and statistics
Further processing
If we wish to use your personal data for a new purpose, not covered by this Privacy Notice, then we will provide you with a new notice explaining this new use prior to commencing the processing and setting out the relevant purposes and processing conditions. Where necessary we will seek your consent to the new processing.
